"This is a truck going from France to the UK. These people are refugees (edit: fine, migrants if you prefer) currently in France, trying to go to the UK. For political reasons I will not discuss here, France (edit: UK border officials operating on French soil, rather) is not letting them cross the border, so they try to hide in trucks to get on the other side. This is one of many ways they've found to slow these trucks down in order to climb in."
