Aprovechando que en una encuesta reciente se ha visto que un buen porcentaje de fans quiere una película de Viuda Negra, Kevin Feige se ha pronunciado al respecto y ha dejado caer que aunque ahora no haya nada para una Fase 4 es posible que tengamos algo más del personaje y no precisamente como invitada en una película.

Cuando le han preguntado por la posibilidad de que personajes como Black Widow, Hawkeye, Falcon o War Machine obtengan películas propias, Feige ha respondido:

"Hemos anunciado las próximas nueve películas, diez contando “Civil War”, hasta el final de 2019. Hacia donde iremos más allá de eso son discusiones que se irán manteniendo y se centrarán en los próximos años porque tenemos un montón que hacer antes de eso. De los personajes que habéis mencionado puedo decir con certeza que uno con el que nos vamos a comprometer creativamente y emocionalmente es Viuda Negra."

Y añade:

"Creemos que es un personaje increíble. Creemos que la interpretación de Scarlett Johansson es increíble. Es una Vengadora de las principales y tiene increíbles historias por derecho propio para contar que pensamos que sería divertido convertir en una franquicia individual."

En esa misma entrevista, Feige menciona que actualmente no hay conversaciones en Marvel para seguir la senda marcada por “Deadpool” con la calificación R ya que cada uno tiene un estilo y un público, aunque no se queda corto alabando el trabajo de Tim Miller y los demás para dar forma al proyecto. Además, nos vuelve a confirmar que los derechos de distribución de las películas individuales de Hulk están en manos de Universal, por lo que estaría bien que llegaran a un acuerdo con Disney para así poder hacer algo con el personaje fuera de las películas corales.

Nuevos rumores sobre posible directora para Captain Marvel

Ante el programado estreno de la película de la Captain Marvel, durante mucho tiempo no han cesado los rumores sobre quién será la actriz encargada de dar vida al personaje y sobre quién se encargará de dirigir su primera aventura cinematográfica.

Si hace unas semanas decíamos que, según un rumor, actriz principal y directora compartirían nombre, ahora tenemos una posible candidata para dirigir la cinta, Emily Carmichael. Esta directora, característica del género indie, ya en su día se encargó de escribir dirigir y animar la serie web Penny Arcade así como algunos cortos de acción real que han aparecido en distintos festivales.

Los motivos para pensar que Carmichael podría ser la elegida o, al menos, estar en negociaciones finales, son una foto subida por ella misma a Instagram con el mensaje “de camino a una reunión con Disney”, que posteriormente fue modificado; y el hecho de que la guionista de la película en cuestión, Nicole Perlman, ha empezado a seguir a la directora en Twitter.

Casualmente, si hacemos caso al rumor de que directora y actriz comparten primer nombre, la elección de esta directora coincidiría con la actriz más rumoreada para el papel de Carol Danvers, que no es otra que Emily Blunt. Sin embargo, a pesar de todas las coincidencias o casualidades, hasta el verano norteamericano, según Kevin Feige, no sabremos nada oficial.

• THOR: RAGNAROK will feature Cate Blanchett as Hela and Surtur will be unleashed in the third act. Josh Brolin will have an appearance as Thanos that leads directly into AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR.
• Tessa Thompson is indeed playing Broomhilde, the warrior valkyrie. She is Thor's new romantic interest. It will be established Thor and Jane Foster's relationship ended on amicable terms due to his responsabilities as the guardian of the Nine Realms preventing them from committing to a life together.

• Villains of BLACK PANTHER are High Priest Achebe, Ulysses Klaw and M'Baku. Andy Serkis will reprise his role as Klaw. Martin Freeman is also reprising his role as Everett Ross.
