The young dragon hunter ventured forward towards the middle of the earth in search of the most legendary dragon ever known, and when he reached its lair the heavens and the earth parted ways and the magical beast surfaced from the abyss, out from the fire and brimestone rose the dragon like the phoenix rising from the ashes as it flew majestically in the darkened, soot filled air. The dragon flew majestically in the air like it was God's treasure before it come to stand still before the young dragon hunter, and as the young dragon hunter looked up at the phenominal creature he screamed 'I am the DragonMaster, the possessors of the powers of the Dragon's Den'.

Upcoming on The Dragon's Den we will discuss the following

- My heart felt thoughts on Chris Benoit as a wrestler, idol and man
- Evidence, facts and theories regarding the timeline of that fateful weekend back in June of 2007
- Evidence, facts and theories regarding the hanging of Chris Benoit
- Evidence, facts and theories regarding the possibility of 'roid rage' in the case

And much, much more.

A few days ago (on Wednesday) it marked the second year anniversary since the tradgic death of Chris Benoit and the Benoit family. So for this edition of The Dragon's Den i will be writing not only about the Benoit Tragedy but also about how great Chris Benoit was as a wrestler and a man (yes, a man. Not a monster, a man). I did plan on getting this up on Wednesday and started working on it and piecing all my information i have into the column, but never managed to finish it.

Now i do not condone murder in any shape or fashion. So some of you may wonder why i still respect and idolise Chris Benoit. Actually most of you on here should know by now my feelings on this situation. Simply put, he didn't do it. Too much things do not match up and there are so many loop holes in the story that it seems idiotic that the investigators on the case actually missed them.

I will however get to the tradgic death of Chris Benoit and his family later. All you must know is that this column will be a continuation and will be updated whenever i get, or decide to, add new information to it.

Its quite simple, Chris Benoit was my idol, he was the man i looked up to since 2003 when i started watching WWE. Before then he was the one i would feud with on Smackdown 2 (yes, i only had a PS1 :) ). When he won the title at Wrestlemania i marked out. I can remember going to my mates house the day of Wrestlemania and him telling me Triple H had lost the title. Instantly my smile was wider than you could ever see it. I still wasn't aware of who won the match but on the coming weekend (watching a tape of Wrestlemania my dad had made) i was glad to see Chris Benoit had won the title. To this day Wrestlemania 20 is still one of my favourite Wrestlemania's (I have seen them all since i have the Anthology box set). The main reason obviously is seeing Chris Benoit win the title (another was the Playboy Tag Team Match. Woo Wee).

When i started to really get into wrestling (didn't take long, 2003 was an exciting year for the WWE) i started wanting to be a wrestler. I wanted to work the style Chris Benoit did (and slowly guys like Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, Kurt Angle and Taz worked their way into that) simply because his style was exciting to watch. I instantly became a fan of the suplex move simply because of how many variations of the move could be peformed (my favourites being the Dragon Suplex and the Tazplex). Since watching Chris Benoit (and others) the technical wrestling has always been a huge favourite of mine (along with high flying, combine them and you are a favourite of mine). Actually one of my very favourite matches since i started watching (So between 2003-Present) would in fact be the match Chris Benoit had with William Regal on Velocity, it was one of the best matches i had seen up to that point and still ranks as one of my favourite today. It was such a technical, fast-paced match and the crowd was really into it. It was jsut one of those matches you dream of seeing and then you do and you don't regret it in the slightest. The fans in that arena were very lucky to see that match.

Chris Benoit was always known as a family man and was always a respectable man amongst the locker room. He was truly a man you could simply call an idolising figure. I think the reason why i like Chris Benoit so much (besides his wrestling) is because of certain attributes he was known to possess. He was a shy and quiet kid and as an adult was still known to be distant. I am very much the same, shy and quiet, distant from others and actually have trouble being socialable. One of my wrestling dreams was to wrestle alongside or with this wonderful man (others being the first Australian to win a WWE title) but now unfortunately that won't ever happen. I didn't even get to see the man live, i did have one chance to do so but didn't have the money (DAMMIT!). I really wish i did see him live, it would of been fantastic.

Enough of the heart-felt speech, moving onto the Benoit case. Now some of you may wonder why i am even attempting to prove him innocent. Well besides from the obvious of proving an accused guillty man innocent i want my own personal validation and conclusion to this case. I want to know whether the media is actually telling the truth about the man i idolised for many years or whether they are blowing this case way out of proportion and burying a great man's name for their own sick, personal gain.

I am only going to run through a few points in the case here tonight that i have pretty much proven to be false claims from the media. The rest will go up once i can find no holes in what i have written.

The Times Of Each Death

Here is a timeline i have developed to help me with my investigations:

Friday, June 15th

Saturday, June 16th

Sunday, June 17th

Monday, June 18th

Tuesday, June 19th

- Chris Benoit wrestled his last match, defeating Elijah Burke in a match to determine who would face CM Punk for the vacated ECW World Championship at Vengeance: Night Of Champions.

Wednesday. June 20th

Thursday, June 21st

Friday, June 22nd

- The last known photograph of Chris Benoit was taken in the office of Dr. Phil Astin

- Nancy Benoit was killed, according to reports

- Chavo Guerrero told WWE magazine that he talked to Chris for while on Friday night on his house phone. About 45 minutes into the conversation, Chris told him that there was somebody knocking at his door and he was going to see who it was. Shortly after Chris answered the door, there was a “scuffle” and then his house phone line went dead. Chris could only be reached on his cell phone about 3 hours later. This is very significant. This explains why there was no forced entry. Chris let the killer or killers in.

- The police originally said that Daniel died on Friday because his body was badly de-composing.

Saturday, June 23rd

- According to the Medical Examiner, Chris Benoit died on SATURDAY sometime. The coroner who performed Benoit’s autopsy even said that Benoit died early Saturday morning. Chris’ body was badly de-composed, about the same as Nancy’s. This shows he died sooner than Sunday (like people and the media claim).

3:30PM: Chavo Guerrero received a voice message from Benoit's phone stating that he overslept and missed his flight and would be late for that night's house show in Beaumont, Texas.

- According to the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) website, Guerrero called Benoit back and Benoit sounded tired and groggy as he confirmed everything that he had said in his voice message.

3:42PM: Chavo Guerrero, 'concerned about Benoit's tone and demeanor', called him back twelve minutes later. Benoit did not answer the call and Guerrero left a message stating, 'just call me back'.

3:44PM: Chris Benoit called Chavo Guerrero back, stating that he did not answer the call because he was on the phone with Delta Air Lines changing his flight.

4:30PM: A co-worker who consistently travels with Benoit, called Benoit from outside Houston airport and Benoit answered. Benoit told the co-worker that Nancy was throwing up blood and that Daniel was also throwing up. Benoit thought they had food poisoning. Benoit stated he changed his flight and he would be arriving into Houston at

6:30PM Benoit told the co-worker to drive onto the WWE event.

5:35PM: Chris Benoit called WWE Talent Relations stating that his son was throwing up and that he and Nancy were in the hospital with their son, and that Benoit would be taking a later flight into Houston, landing late, but would make the WWE live event in Beaumont.

6:10PM: A representative of Talent Relations called Benoit. The representative from Talent Relations asked Benoit what time Benoit was getting into Beaumont. Benoit responded he was leaving Atlanta at 9:20pm Eastern time arriving into Houston at

9:24pm Central time. The representative from Talent Relations advised Benoit that it would be too late to make the WWE live event in Beaumont. Benoit apologized citing he had a family emergency. The representative from Talent Relations suggested to Benoit that instead of going to the WWE live event in Beaumont, Benoit should take the flight to Houston, rest up and be ready for the Vengeance Pay-Per-View event.

6:13PM: The representative from Talent Relations called Benoit to reconfirm the travel plans with no answer from Benoit. The representative from Talent Relations left a voice message to take the flight and rest up.

Sunday, June 24th

3:53AM: The first text message was sent. This first message was a message containing an address which was 130 Green Meadow Lane, Fayetteville, GA. 30215. The Zip Code on all nine of these messages was wrong. Chavo was one of the people who were sent this message.

- Chris Benoit was scheduled to win the ECW World Championship at the WWE's June PPV, Vengeance: Night Of Champions, Stephanie McMahon herself claims. John Morrison (John Hennigan) replaced Chris Benoit in the championship match and won the ECW Championship instead.

Monday, June 25th

12:01AM: It was reported on Wikipedia that Chris Benoit had missed the Vengeance: Night Of Champions PPV event due to 'personal issues' that related to the death of Nancy Benoit. These reports were made 38 hours before the bodies of the Benoit family were found.

12:30PM: WWE was notified of text messages sent to the two co-workers.

12:45PM: WWE contacted the Fayetteville County Sheriff’s office and requested them to go to Benoit’s residence

2:30PM: Chris, Nancy and Daniel Benoit were found dead in their Fayetteville, Georgia, home

4:00PM: WWE received a call from the Fayetteville County Sheriff’s office, advising that they entered the house of Benoit and found 3 deceased bodies (a male, a female and a child). The Fayette County Sheriff’s office has secured the house as a 'major crime scene' and that the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office had no further information.

4:00-5:00PM: A decision to cancel the live event scheduled in Corpus Christi that night was made. In keeping with company policy, and with limited knowledge regarding facts of the case, WWE choose to air a memorial dedicated to the career of Chris Benoit. As facts emerged surrounding the case, all tributes to Chris Benoit were removed both on-air and on WWE.com.

----------

I know this is pretty much exactly what Oli posted in his column. The fact is i sent it to him. I have in fact found errors in it and updated it.

Anyway if people can help me fill the gaps that would be great.

This needed to really be posted so you could follow on with the rest of what i have written in this column. However i will run through it a bit with you all. The first thing you have to ask is why would Chris Benoit want to kill himself when he was scheduled to become the ECW Champion and be paid quite a bucket load for the win? He was (as i presume) meant to be the mentor figure and veteran for a roster in which really didn't have many veterans on the roster that could help the younger talent (besides RVD). It's just seems strange that he 'killed' himself when he was scheduled to win the ECW Championship. There is more to it than that/

Next we have his conversation with Chavo Guerrero on the Friday of the death of both Nancy and Daniel Benoit (not Friday and Saturday, the coroner claims both Nancy and Daniel died on Friday due to the decomposure of their bodies and that Chris Benoit couldn't of died much later, maybe early-mid Saturday). Chavo Guerrero apparently talked to Chris Benoit for forty five minutes until the phone call was interupted by a knock at the door, Chris Benoit politely went and answered the door and then the only thing that could be heard was scuffling and then the house phone went dead. Chris Benoit could only be reached on the house phone three hours after this incident.

(WWE has apparently scrapped this edition of the WWE magazine due to Chavo's comments. Copies were released when the magazine first came out. I wish i could get a hold of it. If anyone can help me get a copy or can print screen a snippet of the article that would be great (i would prefer the actual magazine))

Now don't you think that alone is strange? Chris Benoit has always been known as a polite gentlemen. So then why would he answer the door and then not tell Chavo Guerrero he had to leave due to him having visitors? This is very significant. This explains why there was no forced entry. Chris Benoit let the killer or killers in. All the strange phone calls, text messages and events happened after this incident. Doesn't that alone prove something fishy was going on in that house on Friday night?
