"Is This It" de The Strokes Es Elegido el Mejor Disco de la Década

La banda estadounidense The Strokes fue elegida en Londres como la creadora del mejor álbum de la década, título que recibió su disco debut Is This It, según una lista compilada por la prestigiosa y respetada revista musical "NME" (New Musical Express).

De acuerdo con la publicación, que elaboró un listado con las mejores 50 bandas, The Strokes ocupó el primer puesto por su producción de 2001, delante de los británicos The Libertines, el ex grupo del polémico ex novio de Kate Moss, Pete Doherty, con su disco debut Up The Bracket (2002).

La banda que impuso el éxito "Last nite" también superó a Primal Scream, que quedó en tercer puesto con uno de los álbumes que abrió la década, XTRMNTR, publicado en enero de 2000.

Los conjuntos de rock dominaron el "top ten" de las mejores bandas de la década. Grupos como Radiohead y Arctic Monkeys, además de productores musicales y directores de compañías discográficas, fueron algunos de los que votaron para la lista. Entre los elegidos están tambén las bandas Interpol, The Streets y Queens of the Stone Age.

Julian Casablancas, vocalista de The Strokes, afirmó que fue "genial" que su banda haya sido elegida en el primer puesto.

"Grabar el álbum fue divertido. Fue estresante, pero muy emocionante. No quiero exagerar, pero muchas veces me entusiasmo mucho", agregó.

Y en otros ranking está Kid A de Radiohead en primer lugar.

Mira, me gustan los Strokes, pero no superan a muchas de las bandas expuestas; Ni cagando.

Encuentro buenos a The Strokes, pero ni cagando alguno de sus discos supera a QOTSA, Muse o Radiohead, por dar algunos ejemplos.

Mejores discos de la década, pero de una pequeña parte del rock, ya que obviamente no abarca otros estilos musicales.

puta... me gustan caleta los strokes, pero nicagando ese disco es el mejor de la decada y hueas... donde quedo The Mars Volta, Tool?

Esos discos mucho mejores que el de The Strokes... y esos discos marcados en rojo.. SIMPLEMENTE GIGANTES !!!!
De todas maneras.. Arcade Fire... para mi es una de las 3 bandas de este estilo quela llevan absolutamente

A fin de cuentas la lista era de puro indie-alternativishh y aun asi la lista se queda muy corta...
