Below is my translation of the text pertaining to Chart #1

For this exhibition, we have compiled revealing information on Nen based on memos we have borrowed from Yoshihiro Togashi himself. Some of the information has never been revealed before, and should allow you to better understand the story's setting.

About the 6 'Nen Types'

• There are six Types of Nen: Enhancement, Transmutation, Emission, Manipulation, Conjuration, and Specialization. The innate Type that a Nen user is born with does not change. However, there have been extremely rare cases wherein [a Nen user] changes to Specialization as an acquired/postnatal Type.

About Nen users placed right 'in between' two Types

• Everyone is born with one fixed Nen type. However, there exist Nen users who, in terms of talent, are placed right in between [their innate Type] and another Type. These users can efficiently learn/pick up both Types of Nen.

• By honing their skills exclusively on their original Type over a long period of time, one can relatively easily develop more aptitude toward their innate Type.

• One's placement within the scope of the Type they belong to may change depending on their training method/intensity, living environment, changes to their mind/body, and other factors.

About the 4 ratings of Nen proficiency and the 'Attribute Circles'

• (Pay attention to the illustration at the bottom right of the page. You can see circles with 4 gradients, starting from the innermost black layer to the outermost white layer. This is important for understanding the following text.)

• In Nen, there are 4 ratings of proficiency for each Type: Great, Excellent, Genius, and Ultimate. The illustration depicting these ratings is called the 'Attribute Circles'; the closer the rating is to the center of the circle, the higher one's Nen proficiency is.

These ratings represent the overall proficiency 'at this point in time', factoring in one's innate learning speed, physical abilities, mental fortitude, etc. They do not represent the relative strength of one's Nen.

• A Nen user who currently rate as 'Genius' can quickly fall to the 'Excellent' or 'Great' ranks due to a lack of training, etc.

• The 'Ultimate' rating means that the Nen user has reached the apex of attainable technique. It does not represent one's innate talent.

• A Nen user that places within a Type's 'Attribute Circle' possesses the potential to reach that Type's true essence, the 'Ultimate' rating. An example: Gon, who was forced into an extreme state of mind, reached 'Ultimate' in an instant. However, he lost his very power due to his Nen vows.

• Whether a Nen user reaches 'Ultimate' largely depends on their own efforts, but also on other factors such as luck and circumstances.

• For Nen users who are placed right in between 2 Types, oftentimes, reaching 'Ultimate' is conditional upon continuous training/practice of both Types for a certain period of time.

• There are also cases where Nen users placed between 2 Types get into the 'Attribute Circle' of their innate Type by honing that Type exclusively over a very long time.

• Unlike users of other Types, Specialists sometimes do not display any progress in their Nen despite being placed in the 'Attribute Circle'. Sometimes, their awakening to 'Ultimate' level is contingent upon training/practice of the Type of Nen that the Specialsts are supposed to have a hard time with in terms of the hexagonal chart. Specialists have various complications that cannot be decided with a catch-all rule.

"I only attacked this place because our target is the Cha-R!! When they're all dead, next is the Xi-Yu!! And after that, finally the Royals!! And after the Kakin Royals are eradicated, we'll seize this ship and return to the old world to wreak havoc!!"

"Let's destroy the world!!! You and us!!!"

"Sorry, you are not making sense."

"The culprit who abducted and killed your warehouse guards. Here's his head."

"I think it's no longer safe to hunt outside, since the military is on high alert."

"Here's an idea. How 'bout someone manifest the same ability as Luini? "

"Eh? Not talking about me I hope!? I'm dead set on the ability I want."

Perigord

"You heard Morena, right? Everyone has an innate type and abilities they'd be good and bad at. Luini was an Emitter right?"

Bille

"OK. So an Emitter should do the job next."

Gelato

"That's assuming we can get to Level 21 first. How are we gonna raise our levels now, is the problem."

Matvere

"I'm an aspiring Emitter, but that's exactly why I can't."

Boconte

"I've got another idea. What about we use an ability we already have?"

Daemon

"You talking about your 'door'?"

Boconte

"Yep."

Perigord

"Oh. Sounds good."

Boconte

"Although that means we'll have to wait for our prey to walk into the trap. But we can always lure them."

"Me!! Me!! I'm an aspiring Emitter and I'm totally getting a projectile-type ability when I manifest."

Gelato

"Might wanna underline the aspiring part."

Quorolle

"So will that be an ability that can destroy handcuffs-turned-pigeons?"

Matvere

"Huh? You're not making any sense."

Tevelares

"Padaille was caught by the pigeon and got killed... It's the Xi-Yu Underboss's Nen ability. We need to get rid of those pigeons from afar."

Matvere

"Weell, can't say for sure 'til I've tried it, tho?"

Gelato

Gelato

"...So what do you think, Morena? Nen pigeons vs Nen projectiles."

Morena

"Right. It would be safe to say 'we don't know'. Everyone's offensive and defensive powers are different, depending on their experience, skill, aura capacity, and such. But you can change the outcome if you're creative... For example, if the enemy is someone you can't beat in one hit, try creating a situation where you are free to land many hits. Even if you can't beat them outright, you can use an ability that can restrict the enemy or their ability. In that case it doesn't even have to be Emission. You can also imbue an ability that tells you 'how many hits you need to land to beat the enemy." That mioght make it interesting, like a game."

Quorolle

"I see. As expected from the Boss (read: game master)."

Gelato

"...OK. If I end up being a Conjurer, I'm stealing that last idea."

Morena

"Would you like to know your type in advance?"

Gelato

"No, I'd like to keep it a surprise."

"He was gone when I came to. That WAS Hisoka. Did you guys talk after I passed out?"

Zakuro

"He was on his way to watch a movie, apparently. Somehow he invited me and asked me what I wanted to watch... Then the moment I took my eyes off him I lost consciousness..."

Lynch

"We need to report this to Hinrigh immediately. He was more dangerous than anyone we've ever met."

(The scene changes. We are at the cinema.)

Hinrigh

"Noted... You should go back. Don't want him to resist us because he thinks you're back for revenge."

"We also don't want to split up, lest he runs away on us. All of us should surround and search each auditorium, one by one."

"Well then I'll regroup with Lynch and go look for the Troupe's leader."

Hinrigh

"Mhm. You sure you'll be fine?"

(Hisoka glances over in silence.)

Hinrigh

"I'll get straight to the point... I have a request."

Hisoka

"... What is it?"

Hinrigh

(Hinrigh is holding up what seems to be the mafia's pass)

"Until the conflict between the Heil-Ly and the Cha-R subsides... I'd like you to spend your time in the entertainment area of Tier 1. We've also prepared a room in the VVIP area."

Hisoka

"Why is that?"

Hinrigh

"Stuff happened that caused the Cha-R family and the Phantom Troupe to start a joint war against the Heil-Ly. We, the Xi-Yu family, are also joining forces with the Cha-R to destroy the Heil-Ly. If you start a fight with the Troupe at this timing... then we will have no choice but to consider you our enemy."

"We have no intention of coming between you and the Troupe. If anything, we want to actively avoid interfering. After all, we don't want to waste these front row tickets to watch monsters of the same generation duke it out."

"So, can you accept our request?"

"What is it?"

Hisoka

"Who in particular?"

Hisoka

"Heh heh heh. I quite like honest people, too."

(Hisoka extends his hand to take the mafia pass, but retracts it.)

"Although..."

Hinrigh

"? ...What?"

Hisoka

"I can't refuse to fight if they come at me first."

Hinrigh

"Yeah... suppose that can't be helped."

"(Damn Hinrigh... What's taking him so long...!)"

(He is approached by Wang. Wang stops and notices blood on the floor.)

Wang

"Looks like there was quite the commotion here."

Soldier A

"Hinrigh from the Xi-Yu had a brush with a self-proclaimed civilian. If only the civilian would have filed an official police report, I could have handed Hinrigh to the cops..."

Wang

"Oh...? But that would have put you in trouble, wouldn't it? Something to do with your security contractor deal and bribery... and who knows what else..."

Soldier A

"Don't have time for your outlandish accusations. Go away."

Wang

"We don't have time for your silly little charade either."

"It's blatantly obvious when a Corporal like yourself stands guard alone instead of your subordinates. So what are you and Hinrigh plotting?"

Soldier A

"...Tsk. I was about to sell intel on the Heil-Ly's hideout to the Xi-Yu Underboss. Guess I'll have to sell it to the highest bidder now..."

Wang

"This better not be bullshit."

Soldier A

"Transaction's complete once Hinrigh comes back here with the money. If you want to make a bid, now's the time."

Wang

"Not doing your auction. I'll pay you the same amount as Xi-Yu. Once Hinrigh arrives we'll go there together... So, how much?"

Soldier A

"50 mil total, 30 in advance... But he'll never agree to this!!"

Wang

(to his underling) "Hey, you! Bring me a paper bag of 50 million, pronto!"

(Underling complies)

(to the soldier) "Don't worry. We're on the same team for this one. We've decided to destroy the Heil-Ly, and maintain 'balance' with just the two remaining families. Stupid Second-track Fakers are getting out of control, you see... The Fourth Prince has signed off on this as well."

"Let us know if you find someone you suspect to be a Heil-Ly member. I'll put a 5 million bounty on each of their heads and give it to the soldier who finds them, and to you, the Corporal in charge. On one condition: we'll set up a 'culprit' for [their killings], but you'll be the 'testifying witnesses'."

Soldier A

"Couldn't ask for a better deal. But I've got an absolute condition too. You have to eradicate all of the Heil-Ly. Wouldn't want to live the rest of my life in fear of retaliation from the survivors."

(smiling) "Oh, trust me. There will be no survivors."

Soldier A

"(That Icy Smile (read: Smile Zero)...!!)"

"S-stop that Wang-san!! I've heard that anyone you smile upon will wind up dead... er, I mean... please don't be offended. I'm just..."

Wang

"Seems so... What a rude rumor, though. Everyone dies eventually, no?"

Soldier A

"U-uh, I suppose..."

Wang

"Oh, here they come."

(Xi-Yu's people approach. They are lead by Connery, the Xi-Yu family Supervisor (their equivalent of Tsudonke), who is carrying a bag of money.)

Connery

"Ooh, what a surprise. The Cha-R Underboss. Has the Corporal over there given you the rundown?"

Wang

"Pretty much."

Connery

"That simplifies matters. Let's go once you've got your money and our Underboss is here."

Hinrigh and/or Wang

"The first-class passenger room area on Tier 3, huh..."

"Indeed, no misfit would stand out here amongst the newly rich, the entertainers and charlatans."

Soldier A

"Here we are."

(They arrive before Room 3101. They start talking in whispers.)

Hinrigh

"All first-class passenger rooms have the same layout, right?"

Soldier A

"Yeah. The worker told me this was the only room without a toilet wall. There's plumbing space at the back end but those have a separate door for inspection anyway. So if you find a wall there during this inspection that must 100% mean they're using it as a hidden room, no?"

Wang

"Position-wise this is at the edge of the ship, so there is no telling what the back end of the room is like."

Hinrigh

"Call out at them. They probably won't suddenly attack someone from the military. All the same, disengage your firearm's safety, just in case."

(Soldier A complies uncomfortably. He knocks on the door.)

"...Who's there...?"

Soldier A

"Kakin military. Open up. We've received reports that warrant a house search. We will be inspecting the inside of your room for a little bit."

(The door opens. An old man, one of Heil-Ly's 23, peers out of the door.)

Old Man

"I... don't mind that... I'm an 'umble, innocent man, you see... yes..."

Soldier A

"Open the door fully and stand back! Slowly!! Is there anyone else in the room with you?"

Old Man

"Nobodyy... Please don't shoot."

Soldier A

"Hey! Keep moving back until you're sat on the bed!!"

Old Man

"Yes, I hear you." (making grunting noises as he sits)

Soldier A

"Hands up where I can see them!!"

Old Man

"I know, I knoww."

(Soldier A enters the room. Hinrigh and Wang are about to follow.)

Wang

"OK, let's go."

(Hinrigh and Wang are surprised to find that Soldier A has disappeared. Old man is alone, sat on his bed.)

Old Man

"My, my... There were others out there...? You don't look like the military to me, thoughh...?"

Old Man

"I'm an 'umble, innocent man, you see... Please... do come inn..."

Hinrigh

"Where is Corporal Maizan?"

Old Man

"Huh... must be... the restroom...? You see... Please come inn..."

(Hinrigh throws a knife that flies past the right of old man's face. The knife gets stuck on the wall.)

Hinrigh

"Looks like a knife won't disappear. You, come here. I won't miss next time."

Old Man

"OK... I'm an 'umble, innocent man, you see..."
